In 2006, "TEPLOCOM" Public Corporation has carried out a set of activities on reconstruction of Ulyanovskiy Sugar Plant with increase of production capacity to 8000 tons of beet per day. A full set of design, construction, assembling activities has been carried out, equipment has been supplied and commissioned.

    Scope of activities completed:
  1. Detailed design of pulp pressing department with installation of vacuum pans.
  2. Set of engineering activities on process and heat layouts and preparation of extractor DS-10.
  3. Automation of extraction department.
  4. Delivery, contract supervision and commissioning of:
    • deep squeezing press with production capacity of 4500 tons of beet per day;
    • vacuum pans for 70 tons with circulators;
    • pumps;
    • pulp catchers for pulp press water.
  5. Construction of annex to the main building.

    Activities on increasing production capacity allowed:
  • to increase of production capacity to 4350 tons of beet per day;
  • to increase of production capacity of extractor DS-10 by 50 % compared to the rated value with 100 % return of pulp press water;
  • maximal utilization of heat from secondary vapor of unit 5 of evaporator on warmer for limed juice;
  • to decrease temperature of ammonia condensates on heat exchangers for limed and diffusion juices, using them only to feed extractors;
  • to use secondary vapor of unit 3 of evaporator for boiling vacuum pans of last products;
  • to use secondary vapor of unit 4 of evaporator for heating non-filtered juice of 1st saturation;
  • to ensure filtration of non-filtered juice with 4 filters P9-UFL.
